Photo taken shows the Summer Palace situated in the Haidian District of Beijing, capital of China. Adjacent to Yuanmingyuan Imperial Garden, the Summer Palace is 15 kilometers (9 miles) from the downtown area, with a history of over two centuries. Being one of the largest and most well-preserved royal park in China, it covers an area of 4, 350 mu (about 290 hectares), with Kunming Lake in the south and Longevity Hill in the north.
